Tybee Island's Back River is an area tucked away -- close enough to be near the excitement of the busy strip in no time but far enough away that the days and nights are undisturbed by the noise of traffic and crowds; leaving you with nothing but the sounds of waves and gulls.

The Mary D. beach house welcomes you - it sits on a waterfront lot, steps away from the beach, and offers all of the amenities you could need or want during your stay.

The house is named "Smooth Sailing - The Mary D." because of my love for sailing. Growing up on this same lot gave me the opportunity to enjoy my hobby of sailing. The lot has given unforgettable experiences to my family and friends; I have seen children grow into adults who now bring their own children, and I am happy to share this experience with you and yours.
